Last year I got my first Amazon Alexa product and it took me a bit to realize how much it could do, and how much I love it! I’ve since acquired two more Alexa products, for a total of three. My latest gift to myself, from Best Buy, is the Amazon Echo Plus. If you’re still considering what to get mom for Mother’s Day, or what to put on your own wishlist, I can’t recommend the Amazon Echo Plus enough!! Mom will love all it’s capable of.
Echo Plus is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice, with a built-in smart home hub. To make it even more special, the Echo Plus connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, ask questions, make calls, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more! The kids and I especially love playing games like Teen Jeopardy, Twenty Questions and The Magic Door. You can also have books read aloud while you fold laundry!’
Since the Echo Plus is my third Alexa-capable device, I have them perfectly placed throughout the house so when connected, they work as a fabulous intercom system. If I’m upstairs and the kids are downstairs, I can call them via the device. I can also control what the kids are listening to, which is super fun to mess with them.
The Echo Plus has 360° room-filling sound powered by Dolby, and can hear you from across the room from any direction. I also connect each of my devices to play the same music throughout the house. This works really well when I’m doing chores and moving from room to room. I like to have my jams follow me around – in fact, I wish life was like that wherever we went! The Amazon Echo Plus is always getting smarter as Alexa continues to add additional features. With a built-in smart home hub and simple setup for compatible connected devices, starting your smart home or integrating into your existing system is now easier than ever. I’m always learning more about Alexa and our smart home, and I fall more in love each time I use it.
