Entertaining family and friends has always been fun for me. I don’t enjoy all of the cleaning that goes into getting guest-ready, but when the guests come and the eating begins, it’s all worth it. When I already have to worry about cleaning and hosting, I don’t want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen. When entertaining, I like to go simple with the cooking, but I’ve decided it’s nice to add a special touch with a vibrant appetizer like these Vegetarian Antipasto Skewers.
Rather than serve these beautiful bites plain, we like to give them a kick with Jalapeño Cheddar Heluva Good! Dip. You really could use any of the Heluva Good! Dip flavors, but I thought the Jalapeño Cheddar was a good pairing, to keep up with the vegetarian, and to add the right amount of flavor.
Chips and dip can certainly stand the test of time, but I say it’s time to swap the chips for something a little more clever. You can really feel like you’re serving something gourmet with these beautifully thread skewers, and everyone can feel good about their veggie intake! Each of the Heluva Good! Dips are made with real sour cream and flavorful spices, including French Onion, Buttermilk Ranch, White Cheddar & Bacon, and Bodacious Onion.
You can really add whatever veggies, meats and cheeses you want to these skewers and they’d still be delicious with the Jalapeño Cheddar Heluva Good! Dip! Here are the ingredients I used:
- jarred banana peppers, chopped into bite-sized pieces
- fresh mozzarella cheese
- black olives
- canned artichoke hearts
- cherry tomatoes
- fresh or dried basil, for sprinkling over the top
Drizzle the dip over the top of your skewer, or put a dollop of the dip on your plate, and dip every single bite! You can pick up any of the Heluva Good! Dips in the dairy section of your neighborhood supermarket. Happy dipping!
