A Spring Garden Tea Party for Tails the Cat

This time of year tends to get a little crazy! Between school projects, spring cleaning, baseball and the start of the “end of year” activities, things are busy! While all of these things are so much fun, sometimes the busyness of it all can be a little overwhelming.

That is how life has been for me for the past couple of weeks, and it was starting to get to me. So a few days ago my daughter and I decided to throw out all of our afternoon plans for errands and activities, and decided to take a much needed “spring break” from reality.

When we pulled up to the house, our cat Tails was sun bathing in the front yard. It seemed so appealing that we decided to join in by spending an afternoon in our rose garden. My daughter Sami wanted to set up a little tea party complete with freshly picked flowers and of-course, “Mr. Tails” was the guest of honor. One of the reasons I love our cat, Tails, so much is because he is so sweet with the kids. He lovingly tolerates tea parties, cat toys (that we obviously enjoy more than he does), and the rest of the crazy antics that come along with a house filled with love and kids.

Sami wanted to prepare a special tea party snack for our guest of honor, Mr. Tails, so I pulled out a bag of Purina’s new Pro Plan Shredded Blend to share with our sophisticated feline friend. Right away, I could tell that this was a unique dry cat food, because it had crunchy kibble mixed in along with tender meaty pieces. I love that in this high quality formula, chicken is the number one ingredient, so I know that my cat is getting a healthy, high-protein meal designed exclusively for his nutritional needs. The afternoon tea party was just what we needed to bring some much needed refreshment to our souls. Mr. Tails was a purrrrfect tea party gentleman, although he briefly forgot his manners, as he gobbled up his tea party snack! Sami and I just enjoyed soaking up the sun, the smell of roses and the sweet cuddles from our favorite feline friend. Sometimes slowing down and taking an afternoon off is just the break you need!
