Hotel Valencia Santana Row for a Girls’ Night Out in Silicon Valley

I was provided with a complimentary night at the Hotel Valencia Santana Row for a girls’ night out. All opinions expressed are my own.

Sometimes a girls’ night out is just what the doctor ordered. My girlfriends and I used to get together almost once a week for lunch, while kids were at school. Because of everyone’s busy schedules this year we haven’t done lunches much. As our kids get older it seems we have less and less time to get together, so we had to take drastic measures and actually plan a night away. We just knew that if we booked a hotel and traveled a few hours away then we’d get our time together. I think I found the perfect spot for a girls’ weekend too – I only wish it lasted longer!

If you and your girlfriends like to shop, hang out at the spa, eat great food, visit museums or get on some roller coasters then Santana Row is THE destination spot. Situated in the sophisticated neighborhood of Santana Row, and home to a dynamic mix of upscale shopping, dining and entertainment, Hotel Valencia offers more than just an urban oasis away from life. Hotel Valencia is where my girlfriends and I decided to spend a night away from home, in San Jose.

The atmosphere was fun, the beds were comfortable, and we had a great time. I will even admit that we stayed up late doing each other’s hair. Similar to high school but without the drama and this time we were practicing for doing our girls’ hair. One of my friends was teaching us all how to curl hair with a flat iron, so we practiced on one another so that we could do our girls’ hair when we got home.

Hotel Valencia has two spas in a very close proximity so you can get the whole experience. Facials anyone? We didn’t have time for spa treatments this time, but next time it is definitely on our list. There are different packages to choose from when booking your stay at Hotel Valencia, and we got a girls’ night out package, complete with fuzzy socks for everyone, waters, sleep masks and more! Just watch out for the bathroom doors because they can be seen through! We had some great laughs with that one!

Breakfast was also included for us and it was fantastic! It was above and beyond what one would expect to eat for a continental breakfast. The foods were fresh and tasted amazing!

As I mentioned before, the location is superb because you can get all of your shopping in, or head over to the historic Winchester Mystery House and Westfield Valley Fair shopping center, the largest in northern California, directly adjacent to Santana Row. A couple of us gals actually headed over to Great America for a full day of roller coasters and fun, while the other two stayed back and did some serious shopping. There was a little of everything for everyone!
